Nine ambassadors to Hungary participated in the 10th Sustainability Thematic Week programme, thanks to the efforts of Z\u00f6ld H\u00edd (Green Bridge) volunteer expert network. The ambassadors from Austria, Denmark, Ecuador, the Netherlands, Japan, Colombia, Germany, Sweden, and Uzbekistan presented the complex topic of sustainability and potential practical solutions from the perspective of their own culture. Each of them held a special class for high school or elementary school students.
\nIn addition to several recognized experts, two diplomats represented the Hungarian side. Ambassador Dr. Barbara Botos, Hungary\u2019s Ambassador at Large for Climate from the Hungarian Ministry of Energy, organised the involvement of the ambassadors and held several classes herself. Representing the younger generation, Hungary\u2019s UN Youth Delegate, Annam\u00e1ria Wettstein, also actively engaged in the programme.
\nAs part of the Z\u00f6ld H\u00edd Volunteer Expert Programme, more than 1,700 school groups participated in sustainability lessons organised by expert educators. During these sessions, recognised professionals and diplomatic figures with strong knowledge of both domestic and international sustainability dimensions gave presentations. These events were centered around the 10th Sustainability Thematic Week, organised by Alap\u00e9rt\u00e9kek Nonprofit kft. which took place from April 7 to 11, and began with a special class held by former president J\u00e1nos \u00c1der at the University of Szeged, attended by 600 students and followed online at more than 450 locations.
\nThe Thematic Week concluded with record participation: 2,000 schools registered from both Hungary and the nearby cross-border Hungarian communities, with more than 450,000 students engaging in the event\u2019s programs.
\nMore than 700 teachers took part in in-person training sessions in Hungary \u2013 or in online webinars in the case of the Hungarians living in neighbouring countries \u2013 led by pre-trained instructors. In addition to these sessions, video materials and webinars supported the educators\u2019 work.
