“We Need to Recognise Our Connection with Our Surroundings” – János Áder at the Centenarium of the Laudato Si’ Conference in Vác
“It is crucial to recognise the standard set by Pope Francis’s Laudato si’ encyclical on solidarity, togetherness, and responsible presence in the world. The encyclical advocates the integrity of creation, a concept that encompasses so much more than environmental consciousness and the complex alliance between human and the environment” – said János Áder at the conference organised by the Diocese of Vác during the „Catholic Social Days” thematic catholic festival.
“For the Christian community, protecting the integrity of creation does not involve disaster tourism, fear-based communication, or threatening people with the end of the world. We have good news, and we have hope”. The head of Blue Planet Climate Protection Foundation stresses that we can all contribute to restoring the balance of nature that sustains us.
“The created world is a beautiful mystery. The solution does not consist solely of technological solutions; we need to adopt a perspective of solidarity; solidarity with each other, and with the environment. We have purpose, we have hope – guiding us toward a more balanced, moderate, and modest life. We must teach and embody this way of living through our actions.
