Csaba Kőrösi at the MBH Makronóm Makroverzum Conference

On 18 April 2024, the MBH (Hungarian Bankholding) Bank’s Makronóm Makroverzum, the Hungarian ESG meeting was held in Budapest, where Csaba Kőrösi participated in the panel discussion on “The Sustainable Development of Welfare”. According to the Strategic Director of the Blue Planet Foundation, the global green transition may take longer than expected, as emission levels have not peaked yet and the fossil fuel market is expanding. Nevertheless, he believes that the future balance of power will no longer be determined by the domination of fossil energy but by using technologies that ensure sustainable development. He added that it is no longer a question of what we say, as consensus has already been reached regarding theoretical matters. The issue is that countries have started from very different levels and philosophies about what they can realistically deliver. In the meantime, geopolitical perceptions clash with climate perceptions; if this does not change, there will be a negative game, not a zero-sum game.
